Sounds like a very interesting read, Ed! Thanks for sharing. I'm always on the lookout for a good book. Maybe I'll send a couple your way.

A good book just finished Finch10I have just finished a book titled, "Too Close to the Sun", the Audacoius Life and Times of Denys Finch-Hatton. It was a very good informational read. Not so much a hunting novel but a more of a life and times book. Finch-Hatton was of English landed gentry class of the between the war era. He started as a restless (probably quite spoiled as well) boy and grew into a young man with a wild wondering spirit. Service in WWII added to his restless being. He later became the companion/lover of Karen Blixen who would go on to write the novel "Out of Africa". Reading this book and seeing the references to the whos' who of the fledgling Nairobi, the 3 degrees of seperation so to speak, to me great stuff.
