Very nice hat!! You must make plans to attend this year's Vintage Cup with me in September....you're a natural at heart!
Check to see if there is a serial number on the inside of the hat when you get it. Most bespoke items come with one. You can easily track the garment's origins assuming the manufacturer is still in business.

A fine hat won on the battle fields of eBay
I just won a very fine wool deer stalkers cap on eBay. It is of a tan/cream plaid the name/pattern of which I don't know the name of, but will be fun to investigate. It will replace a very decrepited Wales made Tartan pattern one of I currently have. It was made by the esteemed firm of Herbert Johnson of Bond Street. Bond Street on less. Same block ( 38 vs. 98 ) as Holland and Holland.
