Very true, Ed. You've managed to actually do what others just agree is the right thing to do. I'm guilty in part, myself. Probably the most meaningful epitaph for a man would be something along the lines of, "Here lies a man, a father, and a husband, to whom whatever the task, always did the job well."

Re: Never Wait if You Can Do it Now
Very good JB, I like it.
I don't have any eloquent prose that come to mind but, on a daily basis I am reminded of an awakening I had around my 40th birthday. Consequently it was the time frame I moved to Wyoming. The awakening came as I found a loosing on angers grip over me. It came step by step much like I presume a Tiger would. What came from all of this was my montra of that your ( my ) life is about what I "Do" not about what I "Get". Meaning that your day should be about doing your level best, no matter the task, no matter the risk and certainly no matter the reward. It is about a job well done. Rewards come at the oddest times and in the oddest manners. This has helped a born pessimist smile most everyday since then.
We will all be rewarded and judged in the end.

Never Wait if You Can Do it Now
On the plains of hesitation
Bleach the bones of countless millions
Who at the dawn of victory stopped to wait,
And waiting, died.
Bleach the bones of countless millions
Who at the dawn of victory stopped to wait,
And waiting, died.
