Work has been a bit hectic for some reason and the weather has been typical Wyoming early spring, pretty crappy. Anyway we have been eating rather pedesterian lately and I was sure the clan was tired of it. Tonight I thawed some Alaskan Moose backstrap (courtesy of Chris Magnessen) and started a quick gravy/rue in a big fry pan. The ingredients consisted of olive oil, teriaki, minced garlic. Add the meat and braise fast. Cut heat and cover while cooking the rest. Some frozen mixed veggies and some french fries style baked potates and we where set.
Very quick to do on a crappy day and kept us all at the table long after the food was finished. Very nice.
